If you’re anything like me, when it comes to getting ready in the morning I love to put on some music. Anything by the Spice Girls is usually top of my list for feel good music. Speaking of the Spice Girls, what have they been up to recently? We’ve compiled all the hot gossip surrounding them to bring you this article!
The group split up in the year 2000, over 20 years ago now! The girl gang did reunite in 2019 for their tour and once previously in 2007 to perform at the London Olympics.
Geri Halliwell is now a mother! This Spice Girl welcomed a baby into the world in 2017, with her husband Christian Horner. As well as the newest addition to the family, Ginger Spice also has a daughter from a previous relationship. The singer went on to release a single in 2017 to honour the memory of George Michael.
Baby Spice is currently in her 40’s with two baby spice’s of her own, Beau and Tate. Emma doesn’t seem to have released any new music since the groups split.
Next up we have Melanie Brown, also known as Scary Spice. This Spice Girl still finds herself in the spotlight as a judge on the hit TV show ‘America’s Got Talent’. The show is also hosted by Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and the one and only Simon Cowell. What about her love life? Brown was married to Stephan Belafonte, however the pair split. The divorce wasn’t as straight cut as the star would have liked it to be. Eventually a restraining order was issued against the couple’s nanny, who was the cause of the divorce. Following on from all of the drama surrounding the break up, Brown underwent treatment for PTSD. Scary Spice is however, a wonderful mother to three girls.
The only Spice Girl to continue on with her music career is Melanie Chisholm. Sporty Spice is now a solo singer and songwriter. The star let slip in an interview that due to her time in the spotlight with the Spice Girls, she had developed an eating disorder. As soon as talks began with regards to the Spice Girls tour in 2019, Sporty Spice said she didn’t want to have any part in it. Chisholm went on to say that her time as part of the Spice Girls was both a blessing and a curse.
Finally we have Posh Spice. The Spice Girls star really has lived up to her stage name over the past years. Posh Spice is now married to football star David Beckham and is a mother to four beautiful children. Posh was also against taking part in the Spice Girls reunion tour in 2019, although she didn’t reveal why she was against the idea. However, more recently she revealed in an interview with ‘The Guardian’ that she does hold some regret that she didn’t take part in the tour. When she isn’t busy with the children, Beckham also has her own clothing line that would appear to be rocketing.
